DOMUS & HORTUS ARTIS 2026 Contrasts

The series of concerts in the spring part of the Domus & Hortus Artis 2026 festival continues with the presentation of works for clarinet and piano, solo piano, solo violin, and two trios for violin, clarinet, and piano. The programme fulfils both the festival's theme of "unplayed and unknown" and the title of the concert itself, "Contrasts". It is composed of works by composers with distinctive and differing poetics, each captivated by the possibilities of individual instruments as well as the combination of wind and keyboard (Widor, Berg) or wind, string, and keyboard media (Bodorová, Bartók).

Charles-Marie Widor (1844 – 1937): Introduction et Rondo Op. 72, for clarinet and piano

Juraj Vajó (born 1970): 7 little pieces for Julia (selection)

Alban Berg (1885 – 1935): Vier Stücke für Klarinette und Klavier op. 5

Panaszos nóta, Hommage à John Cage, Carenza Jig

Béla Bartók (1881 – 1945): Contrasts for violin, clarinet, and piano

Advance ticket sales close at 12:00 on the day of the concert. Additional tickets are available 30 minutes before the concert at the Albrecht House, subject to availability. Reservations are possible by phone: 0905 871 868. Reserved tickets must be collected no later than 20 minutes before the start of the concert at the Albrecht House.
