Hugo Kauder Trio – Sunday Matinée
Where:Dom Albrechtovcov
Behind the founding of the Hugo Kauder Trio lies the artists' desire to bring closer the works of persecuted and little-known composers of Jewish origin whose music unjustly fell into oblivion after World War II. The ensemble's name was inspired by the legacy of composer Hugo Kauder — of Jewish origin — who fled Nazi persecution in the 1930s. Their repertoire also includes demanding works from the international repertoire, which the artists are able to perform thanks to their exceptional technical brilliance and empathetic ensemble playing. The Hugo Kauder Trio has been active on the music scene since 2008 and has two CDs to its credit, dedicated to works by H. Kauder, A. Klughardt, R. Kahn, P. Scharwenka, R. Schumann, P. Nogradi, I. Lachner, J. Irshai, and P. Juon. In 2014 the trio undertook a concert tour of the USA.
