Vivaldi da camera
Where:Dom Albrechtovcov
At the last public concert of the year at the Albrecht House, chamber music by Antonio Vivaldi for violin or cello with basso continuo will be heard. Vivaldi's music will be complemented by that of his direct predecessor Arcangelo Corelli, whose virtuosic violin writing influenced not only Vivaldi but also many other violinists and composers of the 18th century. Corelli's solo sonatas are heard relatively rarely on our stages, and even more rarely his ornamented versions, which represent the pinnacle of virtuosic Baroque art. In addition to the string music, a Duo for two mandoras from the Austrian monastery at Kremsmünster will receive its world premiere.
